At The W Law (“we”, “us”, “the Firm”, or “our”), the privacy of those who visit our website and the protection of their information is paramount. This Policy was developed to help you understand how we collect, use, communicate, and make use of personal information that is provided via our Website. We receive information about you from various sources, including but not limited to: (i) if you register to receive emails or publications from us; (ii) your use of the Website generally; and (iii) from third party websites or services. By accessing or using the Website, you are consenting to the collection, transfer, manipulation, storage, disclosure and other uses of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.
Information We May Collect
Automatically collected information
The Firm automatically collects certain information regarding your access to and usage of the Website, including from the web browser and device you use to access and use the Website. Such information includes, but is not limited to: your browser type, MAC address, IP address, “cookie” information (described in greater detail below), the last web page that you visited before accessing the Website, pages or features accessed by you on the Website (and the time spent accessing those pages or features), and, if you access the Website with a mobile device, network information and hardware model (collectively, “Usage Information”). Usage Information enables us to determine how often individuals use portions or features of the Website, to analyze the demographics and usage patterns of the Website’s visitors, and to fight spam and malware, among other uses.

If you are already a client of the Firm, you will be able to upload documents to us through a secure portal. Other than such documents from existing clients, we will never request any Personal Information through our Website except for your name, email address, phone number, and physical address. Please do not provide any other personally identifiable information via the Website, including on the Contact Us page, where you are able to provide more detailed information about the nature of your inquiry.
We will use your Personal Information only for the following purposes: (i) to send you emails or mailings which you have requested; (ii) to send you emails or mailings that the Firms believes may be of interest to you; (iii) to respond to your inquiries; (iv) when you ask us to share your information with agents, other advisors, counterparties, beneficiaries, banks, and related persons; (v) for recordkeeping purposes related to purposes (i)-(iv); (vi) for our own internal business purposes, such as improving or modifying the Website or understanding the demographics of the Website’s users; or (vii) as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy.
In general, we do not sell, trade, rent or otherwise share your Personal Information to or with third parties without your consent. We may share your Personal Information with vendors and other third-party providers who are performing services for the Firm. Moreover, we are not responsible for the security of information you transmit to us over networks that we do not control, including the Internet and wireless networks.
Accessing and Correcting Your Information
You may send an email to admin@thew.law to request access to or delete any personal information that you have provided to us. We reserve the right not to accommodate a request to change or delete information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to process such requests in a timely manner.
Opting Out of Communications
If you have subscribed to or are otherwise receiving Firm news, alerts, blog posts, or similar information from us by email and no longer want to receive such information in the future, you may opt-out of receiving these emails by clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of those emails you receive.
